The Council's creed

A student rarely fails abroad because they weren't capable. They fail because they were placed in the wrong course — and matching students to the right one has been our entire profession for thirteen years.

Education
counsellors first.

Our counsellors work exclusively on overseas education. They know Ontario's institutions and their entry requirements, track intake calendars and curriculum changes, and read every transcript themselves before recommending a single program.

Student counselling

Five counselling desks.
One standard of care.

Our flagship desk, and where every student starts. We read your transcripts, talk through the career you actually want, and map it back to the programs that lead there — comparing subject fit, entry requirements, course length and graduate outcomes before a single application is written.

Once the course is right, we shortlist the institutions that suit your grades, budget and city preference — then run the admission itself: application forms, transcript evaluation, statement of purpose, references and English test planning, right through to comparing your offer letters and accepting the best one.

Studying abroad is a serious investment, so we make the numbers clear early. We map your true cost of study — tuition, living, books and fees — then identify the entry scholarships, institutional bursaries and student aid you're genuinely eligible for, including OSAP where you qualify, and help you prepare each application properly.

Student stories

The students we're
proudest of.

I had picked a program off a list without really understanding it. My counsellor went through my transcripts, asked what I actually wanted to do, and moved me to a completely different diploma. I'm in my second semester in Toronto and genuinely enjoying it.

They didn't just fill in forms — they helped me choose the right program for the career I wanted, and rewrote my statement of purpose with me line by line. The weekly updates meant I never once had to chase anyone for news.

I was choosing between four institutions and completely stuck. They laid out the fees, the intake dates and the commute from each campus in one sheet, and the decision became obvious in ten minutes.

My transcripts were from two different boards and I was sure it would sink my application. They handled the credential evaluation, explained exactly what each institution needed, and my offer came through without a single query.

The Council helped me choose a career program that actually made sense for my budget and my schedule. They also built me a proper cost sheet and walked me through the funding applications step by step instead of leaving me to guess.

Landing in a new country in January was the part I dreaded most. The pre-departure session covered accommodation, health cover, banking and even what to actually wear — I arrived knowing what my first week looked like.

Common questions

Answers, up front.

That's the whole point of the first session. We look at what you've studied, the subjects you did well in, the career you want and what you can realistically spend — then shortlist programs that fit all four. Most students arrive with one course in mind and leave with a better-matched shortlist of three.

Generally three things: your academic record from secondary school or your degree, proof of English through IELTS, PTE or an accepted equivalent, and any subject prerequisites the specific program sets. Requirements differ by institution and by program level, so we check each shortlisted program individually rather than quoting one blanket score.

Most Ontario institutions run September, January and May intakes. Popular programs fill months in advance, and applications are assessed as they arrive rather than all at once — so we counsel students to begin shortlisting two to three intakes ahead. Applying early also gives you time to retake an English test if you need to.

Yes. Many institutions offer entry scholarships and bursaries for international students, usually based on academic merit and awarded at the point of admission. We identify the ones you're genuinely eligible for, track their deadlines against your application, and help you prepare each submission — including OSAP guidance for students who qualify.

Tuition varies widely by institution and program level, and living costs are driven mostly by rent — which is why the city you choose matters as much as the school. Rather than quote a vague range, we build you a real cost-of-study sheet covering tuition, accommodation, health cover, transport and books, so you can plan honestly before you commit.
